YP4 Town Hall for College Students

One of the programs I work with at work is sponsoring this Virtual Town Hall meeting on August 25th. It sounds interesting:

You are invited to participate in a Young People For Virtual Town Hall Meeting via conference call on Thursday, August 25th at 1:00 pm. The topic for this call will be the conflict in Darfur featuring speaker, Stephanie Nyombayire, a Rwandan native, activist for Genocide Intervention Fund and student at Swarthmore College, ’08. Participants will leave the call with a greater understanding for an issue that does not receive a great deal of coverage in the mainstream media and with a clearer sense of how to take action on the conflict in Darfur and on international human rights issues in general.

Join us for what will be a dynamic combination of information and activism, as we give voice to an issue that impacts all of us as members of the global community. There will be an opportunity to dialogue and ask questions of the presenter. Please RSVP to townhall at pfaw.org to express your intention to participate in the call by Monday, August 22nd at 5:00pm, so that we can plan accordingly.
